Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to provide technical leadership on engineering projects and assist the Project Manager in controlling cost, schedule, and client satisfaction. The role emphasizes safety, design criteria, and cross-disciplinary coordination to deliver efficient, constructible solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of engineering and project management experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD or Microstation), and a solid grasp of process engineering

Qualifications

• Promotes the culture of working safely and applying safety concepts into process design.
• Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and related software.
• Familiarity with equipment, instrumentation, and piping specifications.
• Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from vendor data and drawings.
• Understanding of skills and experience required for process engineering and design functions.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or Microstation).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on projects and support Project Manager on cost, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• Promote safety culture in design and project execution.
• Establish design criteria and ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Develop conceptual designs, layouts, and material take-offs.
• Prepare drawings and calculations for engineering reviews and approvals.
• Respond to vendor data and submittals with detailed drawings and specs.
• Support field activities and resolve design issues during construction.
