Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of engineers and process designers, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery of process engineering deliverables. The role requires extensive experience in chemical/petroleum process design and leadership of large capital projects.

The ideal candidate will guide technical direction, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across disciplines to meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
• 10–15 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and apply safety concepts in process design.
• Review and approve all process engineering deliverables.
• Validate professional service estimates at project start and track changes.
• Produce estimates per Hargrove standards for deliverables and proposals.
• Establish design criteria incorporating client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop process engineering standards, specifications, and guidelines.
• Lead a small team on major capital projects and ensure on-time delivery.
