Job summary

Raytheon Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability and safety. You will verify TDP shelf-life materials in MDPs, write processing procedures, and lead cross-functional efforts to integrate equipment in the factory.

You will mentor engineers, address production issues with root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement using Lean techniques on onsite shifts at the Tucson facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with project execution.
• Experience with manufacturing/production processes.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and safety.
• Verify that TDP shelf-life materials are called out in MDPs and write material processing procedures.
• Collaborate on integrating process equipment within the factory and document equipment functionality.
• Quickly address production issues, identify root causes, and implement robust, cost-effective solutions.
• Provide on-the-job training for materials and processes; train other engineers on material usage.
• Act as Operations Liaison with M&PE to address supply chain disruptions and obsolete materials.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean manufacturing to reduce variability.
• Coordinate with M&PE Labs for Cause Corrective Action as required.
