Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Process Engineer at our Tucson, AZ facility. The role focuses on improving materials and production processes, verifying TDP shelf-life items in MDPs, and documenting procedures.

You will lead coordination with cross-functional teams to minimize variability and drive cost efficiency on the factory floor. You will serve as a key liaison with M&P Engineering, train operators, and guide continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM fields required, with strong manufacturing background.
• Experience with project execution and managing production processes.
• Experience with materials and material testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes to maintain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Verify TDP shelf-life materials are called out in MDPs and write processing procedures.
• Collaborate to integrate process equipment within the factory and document functionality.
• Provide on-the-job training for materials and processes and train other engineers.
• Coordinate with Materials & Process Engineering to address supply chain disruptions and obsolete materials.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing procedures and update processes for accuracy and efficiency.
