Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior M&PE Program Lead to drive materials design, development, and manufacturing for missile hardware. This onsite role coordinates M&PE resources, supports design reviews, and aligns technical output with schedule and cost targets.

You will engage in program gate reviews, MB/MRB activities, and collaboration with multiple Raytheon Enterprises to ensure critical material decisions are data-driven and well-communicated.

Qualifications

• Requires University degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience solving materials problems and selecting coatings or alternatives to address issues.
• Experience with mechanical tests (tensile, compression, hardness) and chemical analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide M&PE support for program reviews and board meetings (CCB, MRB, PCB, ERB, PMCB).
• Ensure peer reviews and M&PE positions align with program deliverables.
• Lead trade studies, benchmark materials technologies, and document justifications for material choices.
• Mentor early career engineers and participate in Failure Investigation Teams as needed.
• Support proposals with M&PE tasks and present data to large technical audiences.
