Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson is seeking a Manufacturing Operations lead to supervise 10+ bargaining unit staff and support personnel. You will drive lean initiatives, manage tooling, and coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and quality to meet schedules.

Experience leading teams in manufacturing and a degree or higher are required. A U.S. government clearance and U.S. citizenship are mandatory for this role; on-site work and a second shift are specified in the posting.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in manufacturing/operations.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience leading a team or in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and responsibility for 10+ bargaining unit employees and extended staff.
• Collaborate and communicate with upstream/downstream leaders and VSLs.
• Apply manufacturing principles and systems to initiatives and improvements.
• Oversee development of product-focused processes, tooling, and equipment architecture.
• Lead lean transformation activities with value stream manager and teams.
• Implement CORE structure and execution, including accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide performance input and career development coaching for team members.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and report on manufacturing workflow activities.
• Prepare labor forecasts and Estimates at Compete for staff
• Contribute to short- and long-range strategic planning
• Set priorities for safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost
• Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality on schedules
• Note: This is a second shift position.
