Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of engineers and process designers, delivering complex process engineering work on major capital projects. You will ensure on-time, within-budget results and compliance with applicable standards, while mentoring staff and coordinating with other disciplines.

The role requires a strong background in chemical, biochemical, or petroleum process design, with proven leadership and project controls experience.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical/biochemical/petroleum process design.
• Ability to train others in process safety and site safety requirements.
• Familiarity with equipment specifications and installation details.
• Ability to estimate completion of tasks and develop project schedules.
• Knowledge of CAD drafting standards and design software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to engineers and designers on process projects.
• Deliver process engineering deliverables on time, within budget, and meeting quality expectations.
• Review and approve process engineering deliverables.
• Estimate professional service hours and costs at project start and track changes.
• Develop design criteria and ensure client requirements and codes are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and support inter-disciplinary collaboration.
