Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp seeks a Process Engineering Lead to guide bakery process design, commercialization, and continuous improvement across our production lines. You will scale up new products, optimize dough systems, and lead capital projects from concept through startup to support growth.

You will collaborate with R&D, QA, and operations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and food safety while driving yield, efficiency, and reliability improvements across high-speed production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial bakery or thermal food manufacturing.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dough rheology, fermentation, baking science, and moisture control.

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery process design, commercialization, and scale-up across production lines.
• Drive capital projects from concept through startup, including equipment specs and line layouts.
• Implement continuous improvement to improve yield, throughput, and quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, and operations to optimize manufacturability and food safety.
