Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an IT/Industrial Automation Administrator to support and secure our control systems and IT infrastructure at the Miami smelter and related plants in Arizona.

The role includes server/workstation management, backups, OS patching, and network maintenance. You will collaborate with Process Control and Plant Engineering to satisfy corporate standards and safety programs, with potential shift work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or an Engineering discipline; or an Associates with related experience.
• High School diploma or GED with extensive automation/IT experience.
• Basic LAN administration functions including backups, patching and antivirus.
• Customer service orientation with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IT LAN, servers and industrial automation hardware.
• Manage daily system backups, antivirus updates and OS patching.
• Maintain network infrastructure including Ethernet, fiber and related hardware.
• Coordinate system maintenance with Process Control personnel.
• Plan and implement software/hardware upgrades; ensure alignment with standards.
