The role sits in Process Engineering & Automation within State Street Investment Management, collaborating with business architecture, business units, and technology teams to deliver working software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, process automation, or solution delivery.
• Led engineering or automation teams and maintain hands-on coding.
• Built workflow automation on a low-code platform (Appian, Pega, or Camunda) with integrations.
• Solid API/integration, testing, and SDLC fundamentals.
• Experience in regulated environments and matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the automation team: mentor, set direction, review designs and code.
• Build, test, and support automated workflows; stay hands-on where it matters.
• Architect integrations between the orchestration platform and surrounding systems.
• Ensure security, resilience, and maintainability in enterprise context.
• Evaluate AI and agentic automation tools and guide tooling decisions.
