Job summary
STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to design and support automated business workflows. This hands-on role emphasizes code, integrations, and production-grade software in a regulated environment, collaborating across product, platform, and service pods to deliver reliable automation.
You will build in Appian or similar platforms, ensure APIs are robust, and own end-to-end delivery from design through deployment while aligning with enterprise controls and security
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering, process automation, or solution delivery.
- Hands-on coder who writes and reviews production-grade code.
- Experience building workflow automation on low-code/orchestration platforms and wiring it to surrounding systems.
- Proficiency with APIs, integration patterns, testing, and SDLC methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Build automation: design, develop, test, and support automated business workflows in the chosen platform.
- Improve broken processes by turning manual workflows into reliable software.
- Own delivery end to end—from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
- Connect systems with clean APIs and sensible contracts; test and support implemented solutions.
- Collaborate across pods in a matrix organization to deliver automated capabilities.
