The Lead Printer is responsible for setting up, operating, and overseeing semi-automatic press operations while ensuring exceptional print quality, productivity, and efficiency. This role provides leadership and direction to press operators, supports training and development, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing production environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on printing professional with strong leadership skills, excellent color judgment, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of printing or related production experience.
• Experience setting up and operating printing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of print quality standards, color matching, registration, and job specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred

• 5-7+ years of printing industry experience.
• Previous leadership, lead operator, or supervisory experience.
• Experience in screen printing, digital printing, or large-format printing environments.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows, quality control processes, and equipment setup optimization.
• Experience training and onboarding production team members.
