Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a press operator in Townsend, MA for Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am. You will operate and set up multi-color presses, ensure ink and water balance, and meet job specs with high-quality color accuracy.

Responsibilities include load stock, register, and maintenance tasks. Requires 2 years in manufacturing/printing and HS/GED. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and a strong work-life balance at an established employer.

  • 2 years manufacturing/printing experience.
  • Education: HS/GED.
  • Strong math, reading and computer skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions.
  • Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use. Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

$3000 Retention Bonus

  • Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, bending and mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance, assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, etc.
  • Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, size and construction, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use. Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, washing up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2 years manufacturing/printing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: HS/GED
  • Experience: 2 years printing press experience; familiar with Lean principles.
  • Knowledge of printing process and in usage.
  • Basic math, reading and computer skills. Strong communication skills.
Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
