Job summary

OnMed seeks a Principal Software Engineer to own the architecture across our web and device-facing software, services, data models, and cloud infrastructure. This hands-on role writes code, reviews designs, and mentors engineers while delivering scalable features for the CareStation fleet.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering & AI, you will set engineering standards, advance AI-enabled development, and tackle latency, security, and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Shipped user-facing software end to end from browser to API to deployment.
• Strong background in interface performance and distributed systems.
• Experience leading architecture decisions and design reviews.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and set technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack architecture and implementation across web, services, and data stores.
• Drive API design, versioning, authentication, and security patterns.
• Improve delivery infrastructure with CI/CD, testing, and IaC.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical direction without management duties.
