Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Senior Animal Behaviorist to join our Primate team in Greenfield, IN. You will collaborate with veterinarians, scientists and operations leaders to develop innovative behavior management strategies that support animal wellbeing and scientific excellence.

Responsibilities include designing behavioral studies, implementing enrichment, training staff, and communicating findings to stakeholders, while ensuring GLP compliance and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 8+ years in professional animal research/care/zoo/sanctuary/breeding.
• 5+ years in behavior management with NHPs (Rhesus/Cynomolgus/Marmosets).
• 3+ years in a GLP environment.
• 1+ year in a multidisciplinary scientific team.
• Ability to communicate observations with professional terminology.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and reproduction of lab animals.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and GLP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane care and welfare of animals in biomedical research.
• Perform behavior assessments, observations, and enrichment program implementation.
• Design behavioral studies and develop management procedures.
• Lead data analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, scientists, and IACUC representatives.
• Provide training and onboarding for staff and team members.
• Present on animal behavior and welfare to clients and audits.
• Maintain training materials and resources with the Behavior Program Manager.
