Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a senior specialist to advance animal behavior management and welfare in our biomedical research programs. You will collaborate with veterinarians, scientists, and operations leaders to design and implement humane care strategies and enrichment protocols for multiple lab species.

You will lead data analysis, drive training initiatives, and present findings to clients and regulatory bodies while advancing industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Biology, Animal Behavior, Psychology, Zoology, or related Life Science).
• 8+ years of professional animal research, animal care, zoological, sanctuary, or breeding experience.
• 5+ years of behavior management experience with non-human primates in research/sanctuary settings.
• 3+ years in a GLP environment.
• 1+ year in a multidisciplinary scientific or research team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with veterinarians, scientists, animal care professionals, and operational leaders to develop behavior management strategies.
• Lead analysis of behavioral and animal welfare data and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide onboarding, refresher, and advanced behavioral training for operations staff.
• Develop and deliver presentations related to animal behavior and welfare for audits and meetings.
• Partner with the Behavior Program Manager to evaluate and improve training materials.
