As the lead pricing actuary for Professional Liability E&O, this individual will play a key role in developing pricing strategies, evaluating profitability, and supporting profitable growth. The role partners closely with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, IT, and other actuarial teams and communicates analyses and recommendations to senior leaders. This position also manages two actuarial analysts or associates.**Responsibilities:**As a key member of the Global Specialty Actuarial team, this individual will lead or support rate development, price monitoring, loss-ratio planning, profitability studies, and rate filings, where applicable. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office may be considered for a remote work arrangement with occasional travel.**Compensation**The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.
