Job summary

Mittera is seeking a Press Manager to lead a multi-press operation (web offset and sheetfed) in our Wisconsin facility. You will mentor supervisors, drive operational excellence, and partner across Scheduling, Prepress, Finishing, Maintenance, and Quality to deliver superior print results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in commercial printing.
• Experience managing web offset, sheetfed, or a combination in a commercial printing environment.
• Strong understanding of print manufacturing, color consistency, workflow optimization, and production planning.
• Proven track record leading supervisors and production teams while driving safety, quality, productivity, and engagement.
• Experience collaborating across Scheduling, Prepress, Finishing, Maintenance and other production support functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow and overall performance of the press department, including web offset and sheetfed press operations.
• Leads, coaches, and develops Press Supervisors to strengthen leadership effectiveness and team performance.
• Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for supervisors and department personnel.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that improve press performance, reduce downtime, minimize waste, and maximize throughput.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, print quality standards, and company procedures.
• Drive department performance by monitoring safety, quality, productivity, waste, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Prepress, Finishing, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
• Champion workplace safety and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Evaluate department performance using production metrics and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing and workforce planning to support current and future business needs.
• Serve as the department's operational leader, providing technical guidance for complex production challenges.
