Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Westlake, OH is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to join the Busy Bees community. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, following NAEYC guidelines.

The role involves creating a developmentally appropriate curriculum, curating activities, and maintaining a warm, safe learning environment while partnering with families on care plans and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CDA/Level 3 required or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years in one assigned classroom
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child
