Job summary

The Growing Years in Clayton, NC is seeking Lead Preschool and Lead Pre-K Teachers to provide developmentally appropriate instruction for preschool and pre-kindergarten students.

The position requires a high school diploma and an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field or 12 ECE credits; background checks are required. Competitive hourly pay and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or 12 ECE credits.
• Pass all background checks.
• Childcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance.
• Implement weekly lesson plans covering all areas of child development.
• Establish rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct parent/teacher conferences.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities relating to child care.
