Columbia Child Development Program in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking a Lead Preschool Educator to guide a busy classroom of 3-4-year-olds. You will lead daily routines, plan engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons, and support each child’s growth while partnering with classroom aides to maintain a positive learning environment.

This leadership‑level role emphasizes hands‑on teaching rather than supervision, with responsibilities including assessments, parent conferences, and PBIS compliance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and 30 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
• OR a high school diploma or GED, 15 credits in relevant fields and one year of experience with children.
• OR a high school diploma or GED and two years experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily classroom routine and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
• Create engaging learning opportunities across social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative domains.
• Partner with aides and assistants to maintain a positive, well‑organized learning environment.
• Conduct developmental assessments and maintain records including plans, attendance, and reports.
• Hold parent/teacher conferences and communicate regularly with families via updates and notes.
• Support licensing and quality standards and participate in staff trainings.
