Job summary

Farming Hope in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Lead Prep Cook & Trainer to supervise daily kitchen operations and lead weekend shifts. You will train Apprentices, support menu planning, and ensure meal production of 3500+ meals weekly for delivery.

The role requires 3+ years as Lead Line/Prep Cook, supervisory experience, and weekend availability; English fluency is essential. This is a full-time on-site position with health benefits after probation and opportunities to contribute to food

Qualifications

3+ years experience cooking as Lead Line/Prep Cook (or equivalent).
Supervisory experience in a kitchen setting.
English fluency required.
Weekend availability required.
Ability to train Apprentices on knife skills and kitchen SOPs.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on training to Apprentices and oversee daily tasks.
Lead weekly meal production of 3500+ meals for delivery.
Assist with menu development, production planning, and product ordering.
Support food recovery efforts and creative use of donated product.
Assist with onsite events as needed.
Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and health and safety in the kitchen.
