Job summary

Royal Electric is hiring a Preconstruction Manager for our Building Group in Sacramento, CA. You will lead estimating, bid management, and design/component selection, coordinating with Electrical Construction, Fire Alarm, and other teams to define scope and ensure competitive proposals.

The role requires a 5+ year background in preconstruction/project management, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of related experience as a Project Manager or Preconstruction Manager.
• Experience leading estimators and managing bid processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating process and timelines to meet objectives.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training for estimators.
• Assist with design and selection of system components.
• Review invitations to bid and determine projects to bid.
• Oversee bidding process communications across groups to define scope.
• Review and finalize estimator proposals and bid packages.
• Labor projections and look-ahead assessments for all groups.
• Coordinate with Project Management for hand-off of awarded projects.
• Participate in business development and client presentations.
• Negotiate with GC/CM/Developers/Owners.
• Complete budgets from schematic to 100% CD; DB and IPD projects.
