Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production or act as the owner/agency inspector for DOT and PCI programs. Responsibilities include verifying prestressing operations, reviewing designs and records, and accepting or rejecting products.

Qualifications require PCI Level II certification with 2+ years in a certified plant; knowledge of PCI MNL-116/117 and DOT specs is essential; ACI strength testing

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II, current, with 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and the DOT precast specifications for your state.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Able to hold a production line to the specification when the schedule is pushing.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against the specification and the shop drawings.
• Dispostion repairs; maintain QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors; assign daily coverage and review their records.
