Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to inspect for DOT and owner programs. You will verify prestressing operations and review strength records, determining acceptance or rejection of finished products while maintaining PCI/DOT QC records.

The role requires PCI Level II certification with 2+ years in a certified plant; knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT specs; ACI cert preferred.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II, current.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specs.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and shop drawings.
• Discipline repairs and maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
