The role involves reviewing prestressing operations, mix designs, strength records, and accepting or rejecting finished products per specs; supervising Level I inspectors and ensuring PCI/DOT records are compliant.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification with 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specifications.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand cert, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Investigate low breaks and adjust with the plant.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings.
• Dispostion repairs and maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and review their records.
