Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and inspect owner/DOT projects as needed.

You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, accept or reject finished products, and maintain PCI/DOT QC records.

Requirements include PCI Level II certification, 2+ years in a certified plant, knowledge of PCI MNL-116/117 and DOT specs; travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification required.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Investigate low breaks and adjust with the plant.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and drawings.
• Dispost repairs and maintain QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
