Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to perform owner and agency inspections for PCI/DOT programs. Responsibilities include verifying prestressing operations, reviewing designs and strength records, and maintaining QC records for certifications.

Qualified candidates hold PCI Level II certification with 2+ years in a certified plant; knowledge of PCI MNL-116/117 and DOT specs is required;

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II current.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• ACI Strength Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Familiar with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT certification programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
