Job summary

AdventHealth Parker is seeking a clinical laboratory supervisor with strong leadership and phlebotomy expertise to support performance improvements and staffing needs across the lab. You will coach staff, coordinate student experiences, and oversee safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This role requires effective English communication, teamwork, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Up-to-date phlebotomy practice knowledge.
• Effective communication in English with patients, staff and customers.
• Read, write and speak English; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement activities and resolves customer service issues.
• Assists department leadership with staffing, interviewing, orientation, training, coaching, mentoring, and competency assessment.
• Coordinates and facilitates the clinical experience of students in affiliated education programs.
• Participates in committees or teams and assists with special projects.
• Maintains neat, organized workspaces and oversees post-analytical activities.
• Enforces safety policies including PPE, handwashing and hazardous chemical handling.
• Leads and participates in laboratory performance improvement activities and team engagement.
• Evaluates program needs and assesses staff and services.
• Performs pre-analytical laboratory activities, equipment maintenance and specimen collection.
