Tyson Foods in Texas is seeking a lead-in-operations worker to assist the Supervisor by communicating instructions to the team and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. The role also monitors all equipment and notifies the supervisor of any needed maintenance while upholding a safe work environment.
Primary duties include department setup; ensuring USDA, production and HACCP requirements are met in the area; assisting with shoulder cuts, packer issues, packaging and meat supply.
This position pays $19.25/Per Hour
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations of fillet packing operation. Job Synopsis: Primary tasks include department set-up; insure USDA, production and HACCP requirements are met in area. Assist supervisor with monitoring shoulder cuts, mechanical issues with packers, packaging and meat supply. Make decisions on staffing assignments based upon product flow, product mix and attendance. Other responsibilities include relieving line personnel as needed, fill-in for absenteeism as necessary, wash down at breaks, and insure general housekeeping. Fill in for Supervisor in their absence.
Applicant must have at least six months of lead experience with single employer within the last 12 months.
Prior Employee Waiting Period: Previous Tyson team members must wait 181 days from their separation date before reapplying.
