Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a production line worker in Rogers, AR. The role involves operating machinery to keep the product flow steady, monitoring settings, and maintaining proper marination ingredients and temperatures according to specifications.

You will conduct QA verifications, use handheld scanners for ingredient inventory, and promptly report issues to supervisors. A strong focus on safety and accurate ingredient handling is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
• There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure continuous flow of products through production and use of ingredients/supplies on the line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings; notify supervisor for maintenance as needed; follow safety and Tyson policies.
• Ensure proper ingredients and quantities for marination formulas and maintain marination mix temperature per specifications.
• Fill out Quality Assurance verifications and use handheld scanners to manage ingredient inventory.
• Communicate issues to Lead or Supervisor immediately; perform other duties as assigned.
• Verify correct product, ingredients and amounts for marination mixes through strong verbal and written communication.
• Climb stairs while carrying ingredients to dump into marination tank; perform basic math to track pounds.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, possible Saturdays.

Hour: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM approx.

Pay: $17.40 hour

Job description:

• This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line.




• Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.




• The person in this position will ensure proper ingredients and quantities are used for marination formulas and ensure marination mix is maintained proper temperature and in accordance with specifications.




• Team member in this position will be responsible for filling out Quality Assurance verifications and using handheld scanning devices to manage inventory of ingredients utilized.




• The Person in this position will communicate any issues to the Lead and/or Supervisor immediately, and perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.




• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to verify the correct product, ingredients and amounts are utilized for marination mixes.




• Must be able to constantly climb stairs while carrying ingredients to dump into the marination tank. Basic math (adding and subtracting) skills are required to keep track of the pounds needed and dumped into the marination tank.

Requirements:

• 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
