Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Power Systems Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Integration group. The role focuses on transmission studies, feasibility analyses, and multi-disciplinary collaboration to deliver robust power system solutions for North America and beyond.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in transmission planning, with experience using PSS/E, PSLF, and PowerWorld, and a track record of leading technical teams and client engagements.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering; post-graduate MS or PhD in Power Systems.
5+ years of experience in transmission planning.
Proficient in power flow, short-circuit, and transient stability analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead transmission planning studies such as load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, and/or small-signal stability analysis.
Lead preparation of comprehensive reports on study conduct, results, and recommendations.
Review planning/system performance studies for compliance with standards and good engineering practice.
Lead interaction with clients and manage projects.
