Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead Project Manager to drive protection & control (P&C) projects across generation plants, substations, campuses, and data centers.

You will oversee design through commissioning, manage budgets, schedules, and financial tracking, and collaborate with clients, engineers, field teams, subcontractors, and office staff to deliver safe, on-time results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of project management experience in electrical utility or EPC environments.
• Experience with protective relaying, high voltage equipment, and substation work.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong financial management, cost tracking, and invoicing knowledge.
• Experience with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and document control.

Responsibilities

• Lead P&C projects for generation facilities, substations, campuses, and data centers.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and financial tracking.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, field teams, and subcontractors.
• Prepare invoices and ensure alignment with contracts and change orders.
• Lead progress meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Mentor staff on project management and process improvement.
