Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years programming/web development experience; 0–2 years management.

Responsibilities

• Lead program/department and mentor staff; set expectations and enforce policies.
• Recruit staff, approve timecards, and conduct performance reviews or disciplinary action.
• Modify/create software; ensure system efficiency and integrity.
• Guide functional spec preparation; oversee design, coding, debugging, and documentation.
• Ensure standards compliance; maintain scalable, best-practice architectures.
• Develop complex specifications; train team on problem solving.
• Define product requirements from inception to testing and refinement.
• Review documentation and provide feedback for growth in documentation.
• Guide unit testing; coordinate tester/IA feedback to fix issues.
• Establish best practices, policies, and processes; ensure adherence.
