Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Lead Product Development Engineer - Power Electronics to join our team in Raleigh, NC. You will drive design and development of high-power, three-phase UPS systems and energy storage products, guiding projects from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in electrical product development or Master's with 3+ years in power electronics design.
• Hands-on electrical design, lab testing, and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to interpret and create electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical components, safety, EMC and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and conversion topologies.
• Familiarity with schematic entry and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence).

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer requirements and safety commitments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products from 20 kW to 2.5 MW.
• Specify and qualify electrical components and define BOMs.
• Create circuit diagrams, harness designs, and technical documentation.
• Lead DVT and validation testing in the lab with a team.
• Support prototype build and delivery to customers.
• Work with regulatory experts to ensure compliance and certifications.
