Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineering to join our National Maritime Practice Group. This role can be based in offices including Miami, FL. You will lead engineering tasks, develop construction plans and manage cross-functional teams on port/marine projects, ensuring quality and compliance.

Strong background in SAP2000, AutoCAD, REVIT and BIM tools is required. Required is a Civil Engineering degree with PE licensure, 7–10 years of marine design experience, and

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program required; PE licensure preferred.
• 7–10 years of marine-related engineering design experience.
• Experience with SAP2000 or equivalent FEM software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT; BIM tools familiarity.
• Experience in port/marine construction and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for engineering tasks using site data, survey data, reports and drawings.
• Lead development of construction plans, schedules, specifications, and cost estimates for ports and marine projects.
• Manage cross-functional teams on mid-level projects and multiple smaller projects; track budgets and PS&E submissions.
• Write technical reports and document findings with sketches, calculations and FEM tools.
• Mentor staff; apply advanced engineering techniques and mitigate project risks.
• Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients professionally.
