Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Consultant, Ports and Marine Engineering to lead projects in the National Maritime Practice Group. Based in multiple U.S.

offices, you will guide design, construction, and inspection of port and marine facilities, delivering high-quality work and coordinating with federal and state agencies. You will lead teams on mid-size projects, perform advanced structural analyses, and prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer licensure (multi-state preferred).
• 7–10 years of marine project design experience including rehabilitation and new design.
• Experience with SAP2000 or similar FEM tools; design of reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel components.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks: data collection, analysis, and reporting for design and construction.
• Develop construction plans, schedules, specifications, and cost estimates for ports/marine projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with engineers and project managers.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation using various engineering software.
