Job summary

Galpin Honda in Mission Hills, CA is seeking a Lead Porter for afternoon/evening shifts. You will coordinate sales porters, move vehicles around the dealership, and support inventory/logistics across the lot.

Responsibilities include assisting with porter admin, keeping vehicles clean and ready for customers, and helping managers with vehicle location and staging. A valid driver's license and experience operating a range of vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience operating cars, light trucks, and vans.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales porters
• Assist with administrative tasks pertaining to porters
• Move vehicles to different areas of the dealership throughout the day
• Assist Sales and Service Managers with inventory management
• Locate vehicles via radio dispatch or cashiers
• Wash, detail, and prep vehicles for customers
• Park completed vehicles in the pickup staging area
• Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment

This is a Lead Porter position and will be responsible for afternoon/evening shifts

SOME OF WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Coordinate sales porters
• Assist with administrative tasks pertaining to porters
• Move vehicles to different areas of the dealership throughout the entire day
• Assist Sales and Service Managers with inventory management
• Locate vehicles as they are notified over the radio by dispatch or cashiers
• Keep Galpin vehicles looking great by washing, detailing, and preparing for customers
• Park all completed vehicles in the vehicle pick up staging area
• Contribute to a welcoming environment by keeping all areas clean and tidy

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Valid driver's license
• Experience operating a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
• Professional work ethic and high integrity
• Ability to work as a team and/or independently
• Ability to drive stick-shift
• Strong problem solving and follow up skills
