Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for cleaning, maintaining and stocking the pool area in an impressively safe, efficient and friendly manner. Assists Housekeeping Manager with pool chemical balancing. Monitors and guides Pool Attendants with their required tasks.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
- Maintains pool including skimming, washing decks and flushing gutters. Straightens and cleans pool furniture, cleans up trash and used towels. Cleans, prepares, stocks and keeps inventory of supplies for the pool area.
- Provides guidance, leadership and training to all pool attendants as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Notifies Housekeeping Leadership of any concerns within the department and/or when coaching opportunities with pool attendants are deemed necessary.
- Works closely with Housekeeping Leadership to regularly monitor chemical levels of the pool water and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Maintains a positive attitude and acts in a consistently professional manner towards Guests and Team Members.
- Provides Guests with information about Hotel and Resort amenities and services as needed.
- Promptly reports any incidents of Guest dissatisfaction or other matters of significance to Manager/Supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken.
- Enforces pool usage rules for the safety of Guests and Team Members. Notifies the Guest Service Supervisor of any problems when necessary.
- Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management.
- Ensures all communication containing Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians; TEDA, Inc.; Black Oak Casino
- Resort and Guest information is consistent with privacy policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned and attends to special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to swim.
- Must be able to understand and provide friendly guest service.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment (sometimes under pressure) while remaining professional, flexible, and efficient.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must currently be certified to operate a pool or able to obtain certification within the first 90 days.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
