Yoh Life Sciences is seeking a hands-on Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily quality-control activities in a polymer compounding manufacturing environment. You will test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify they meet specifications and ISO requirements, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to investigate issues and support corrective actions.

Location: Elkton, MD; Schedule: M-F 7-3:30.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of quality-control laboratory or related manufacturing laboratory experience.
• Experience in an ISO-regulated quality environment and familiarity with ISO quality-system requirements.
• Some college coursework; degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience performing laboratory testing and working with laboratory instruments.
• Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately document results.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations, measurements, percentages, unit conversions, and interpret numerical test results.

Responsabilidades

• Perform QC laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished polymer products.
• Perform tests such as tensile, compression, rheology, viscosity, thermal analysis, chemical extractions, and titrations.
• Operate laboratory instruments per procedures and test methods.
• Conduct routine instrument calibrations and verify performance.
• Maintain accurate records, test results, calibration records, and quality documentation.
• Train laboratory associates on QC procedures, testing methods, equipment operation, documentation, and safety.
• Investigate product-quality issues with Quality Associates and Engineers; support CAPA and root-cause investigations.
• Provide lab testing and analysis to support Manufacturing and Quality teams.
