Job description
The Quality Assurance Engineer will lead continuous systems improvements in the Lab, Quality, and Manufacturing departments.
You must be proficient in all analytical and R&D lab operations and will support Quality, Operations, and R&D.
You will lead several new system initiatives, work directly with R&D for new product introductions as well as continuously improving current recipe formulations, lead the ISO9001 internal audit team, and work with the quality and operations group to transition to electronic SOP training and tracking.
The successful individual will possess analytical laboratory and process-improvement experience, experience in chemical polymerization, mixing, and blending, and a history of interacting with customers and suppliers, with a focus on improving customer relationships and supplier quality.
Experience working in a Process Safety Management covered environment is a plus.
This position is 5 days per week, day shift, with shift start/stop times flexible as agreed with the QA Manager. Our operation is currently a 3-shift, 5-day-per-week, 24-hour-per-day operation. The lab is staffed 24/5. After-hours call and coverage are possible but infrequent.
BS/BA degree required (Chemistryor Chemical Engineering degree)
Knowledge of the chemistry and processes involved in the manufacturing of polymers, UV, and blended final mixed solutions is ideal.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in addition to co-op/intern experience in an applicable industry.
