Yoh Life Sciences is seeking a hands‑on Laboratory Supervisor in Elkton, MD to oversee QC testing of materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with ISO quality requirements and internal procedures. You will coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to investigate issues and support CAPA efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of quality-control laboratory or related manufacturing laboratory experience.
• Experience working in an ISO-regulated quality environment and familiarity with ISO quality-system requirements.
• Some college coursework required; degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience performing laboratory testing and working with laboratory instruments.
• Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately document results.
• Basic math skills, including calculations, measurements, percentages, unit conversions, and interpreting numerical test results.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished polymer products.
• Perform testing including tensile, compression, rheology, viscosity, thermal analysis, chemical extractions, and titrations.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment per procedures and test methods.
• Conduct routine instrument calibrations and verify equipment performance.
• Follow laboratory procedures, specifications, work instructions, and ISO quality-system requirements.
• Review results for accuracy and identify abnormal or out-of-spec results.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, calibration records, and quality docs.
• Train laboratory associates on QC procedures, testing methods, equipment operation, documentation, and safety.

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring a hands‑on Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily quality‑control laboratory activities within a polymer compounding manufacturing environment. The Laboratory Supervisor will perform and coordinate testing of raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards. This position works closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to investigate product‑quality issues, support corrective actions, maintain laboratory equipment and documentation, and ensure testing is performed accurately, safely, and in accordance with established procedures and ISO quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality‑control laboratory testing on raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished polymer products.
• Perform testing including:
  • Tensile testing
  • Compression testing
  • Rheology
  • Viscosity
  • Thermal analysis
  • Chemical extractions
  • Titrations
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures and test methods.

• Assist with root‑cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Provide laboratory testing and analysis to support Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, laboratory procedures, and applicable ISO quality‑system requirements.
• Assist with maintaining and improving laboratory procedures and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of quality‑control laboratory or related manufacturing laboratory experience.
• Experience working in an ISO-regulated quality environment and familiarity with ISO quality‑system requirements.
