Job summary

Pylon, based in the United States, is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the Agent Platform and partner with engineers, operators, and business teams to automate the mortgage process.

You will shape internal tooling for readers, underwriting, and closing, while enabling customers to build and operate their own agents with secure APIs and guardrails. The role emphasizes ownership, high agency, and delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Shipped LLM-based agents or agent tooling to production
• Understanding of retrieval, embeddings, vector databases, and hybrid search
• Write production-grade code and collaborate with engineers
• Built or scaled a developer platform, infrastructure product, or API used by multiple teams
• Experience in regulated industries; mortgage/fintech experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for agents across Pylon and align product, engineering, and operations
• Own the roadmap for core platform pieces (tools, orchestration, memory, evals, observability)
• Speed up from idea to agent in production with reusable patterns
• Treat evals as a product with shared datasets, benchmarks, and checks
• Define how external agents interact with Pylon via MCP servers, APIs, and perms
• Ensure traceability and explainability of agent actions for regulators
• Make build/buy decisions on models, databases, and vendors with cost and latency in mind
• Write code, contribute to the platform, and stay close to users’ needs
• Collaborate with GTM and Account Management to connect customer agents to Pylon and drive success
• Support hiring and growth as the platform scales
