PAE is seeking a technically sharp and collaborative Lead Plumbing Design Engineer in our Seattle office to guide project teams through the design and execution of complex plumbing and fire protection systems.

You will bridge the gap between high-level design and project management, overseeing the creation of comprehensive deliverables from narratives to final construction documents, while mentoring the team to ensure innovative, cost-effective, and UPC/IPC/NFPA/IBC-compliant systems across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in discipline work or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in plumbing design.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection.
• Knowledge of UPC, IPC, NFPA and IBC codes.
• Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of deliverables including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Communicate plumbing design options to diverse stakeholders.
• Determine fire protection and plumbing system requirements for various building types.
• Provide design direction, mentorship, and guidance for the project team.
• Complete projects within budget and schedule.
