PAE is seeking a motivated and inquisitive Entry-Level Fire Protection Design Engineer to join our Portland, OR team in a hybrid office environment. This role is designed for a proactive individual looking to build a career in plumbing system design for the built environment.

Under mentorship, you will learn to design and model plumbing and engineering distribution systems, develop proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and support sprinkler and fire alarm projects with instruction from experienced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Fire Protection preferred).
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or ability to obtain accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Develop foundational knowledge in fire protection and plumbing system design.
• Learn to design and model plumbing and engineering distribution systems.
• Provide task-based support for fire sprinkler and fire alarm projects.
• Perform basic hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems.
