Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled Plumber I to lead plumbing projects, including installations, remodels, repairs, and maintenance across residential and commercial sites. The role requires interpreting blueprints, complying with codes, estimating materials and labor, and coordinating with clients and contractors.

Strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to work in confined spaces and outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Plumber I or 4+ years in a plumbing role.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Extensive experience in interpreting and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing projects, including new installations, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing system layouts and installations.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to discuss project requirements, timelines, and progress.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior plumbers and apprentices.
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using advanced tools and techniques.
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose complex issues or defects.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers, apprentices, and helpers.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations.
• Health & Safety: Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately.
• Health & Safety: Reports any contravention of legislation or company policy, procedure or program to direct supervisor/manager immediately.
• Health & Safety: Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control.
• Health & Safety: Uses and maintains PPE as prescribed.
• Health & Safety: Never removes or renders ineffective safety guards or gear.
• Health & Safety: Complies with general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s).
• Health & Safety: Operates devices or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s).
