You will collaborate with planning partners to standardize PLCs and control systems, improve uptime, and ensure robust documentation. A strong background in Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in IT or engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years programming/troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal/S7).
• 5+ years with PLCs, networks, HMIs, drives and control components.
• 5+ years of MS Office skills.
• 3+ years PC hardware troubleshooting and TCP/IP networking.
• 5+ years of professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical design support for PLC, controls, and SCADA systems.
• Collaborate to develop design standards for PLCs and control systems.
• Plan improvements to improve process capability, uptime, and reliability.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams supporting PLCs and SCADA.
• Provide technical support during model introductions and issue resolution.
• Ensure proper operation and documentation from line builders and integrators.
• Interface with IT to ensure efficient SCADA operation.
• Develop solutions in automated processes using PLCs and SCADA.
• Develop HMIs and production monitoring systems for line control.
• Coordinate with suppliers to maintain BMW standards.
• Develop and maintain user and support documentation.
• Evaluate concepts with technical and financial focus; drive changes.
• Support technical training and development programs.
• Understand VPS Principles and Standard Work; adhere to 5S and Safety.
