AlignityX is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the core platform engineering team on-site in McLean, VA. You will tackle high-scale, enterprise-grade challenges from data layer to UI, delivering fast, scalable, and flexible software.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and push performance optimization across the platform, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver features with impact.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a high-volume or production critical environment.
• Fluency in Java and full-stack development experience.

Responsibilities

• Write software in a full-stack web and mobile environment leveraging data structures and design patterns.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives across the team.
• Ensure availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of the platform.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to performance optimization.
• Lead architectural discussions and design of new features.
• Publish high-quality engineering documentation.
