Job summary

ByteSearch is partnering with a high-growth technology company to hire a Staff Platform Engineer for its US infrastructure team. This is a senior, hands-on position offering genuine ownership over scalable systems and critical platform decisions.

You’ll lead technical projects spanning cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, observability, security and internal tooling, while coding and guiding engineers across the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years across software, infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Strong system design and debugging fundamentals.
• Experience operating production systems in the cloud.
• Infrastructure-as-code and containerisation experience.
• Exposure to databases, asynchronous systems and distributed applications.
• Ability to lead through technical judgment and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects and influence engineers across the business.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle from idea to production.
• Improve cloud infrastructure, automation, observability and security.
• Ensure cost optimization and scalable deployments.
• Provide technical direction across infrastructure initiatives.
