You’ll work on backend services, data infrastructure, and platform reliability, with Node.js, Rust, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Terraform, in a remote-friendly environment aligned to NYC time. The role emphasizes on-call readiness, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with a world-class engineering team.

Qualifications

• Current senior engineer with 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems and backend architecture.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and on-call incident response.

Responsibilities

• Implement Bubble infrastructure that scales to many apps and users.
• Improve performance and reliability of backend services and data tier.
• Design observability, define SLOs, and expose performance metrics to users.
• Support billions of requests across a platform supporting diverse apps.
• Build workflow engine and scale data tier for high-volume ingest/export.
• Develop next-generation cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Participate in triage and on-call processes to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
